The history of Longwood dates back to 1907 when Pierre DuPont laid out the very first garden- the 600 foot Flower Garden Walk. Over the last nearly 120 years, Longwood has grown to become one of the most influential and beautiful botanical gardens in America.
I ventured to Longwood Gardens with sweet Emily and Ben for the most romantic, overcast day celebrating their upcoming wedding. We toured through the Conservatory, strolled through the Main Fountain Garden, and marveled at the blooming peonies in the Flower Garden Walk.
“When visiting Longwood Gardens, you are immersed not only in the breathtaking surroundings but in a rich history as well. The traditions and elegance of the gardens have evolved over decades to create the magnificence we have today.”
