Over two magical days, Emily and Miguel gathered with their closest family and friends at Walt Disney World for a celebration full of wonder, refinement, and timeless beauty. Their intimate guest list allowed them to treat their loved ones to the best of what a Disney World Wedding can be. From their lakeside fireworks dessert party to start off the festivities to their six course California Grill dinner- complete with more fireworks of course- this is the Disney World wedding all us Disney kids dream of!
The first week of November is one of the absolute best times of year for a Disney celebration. The temperature cools down, the forecast is nearly always clear, and the parks and resorts are in that magical transition from Halloween to Christmas. Every year of my childhood, this was the week my Dad and I came to Disney. It holds many of my most treasured memories. For Emily and Miguel, the fair weather and convenient pre-holidays timing made it ideal for their Disney World Wedding.
Monday night’s welcome dessert party featured all the classics- spectacular fireworks, Mickey Shaped pretzels, and a private Ratatouille ride along.
Their wedding day was one of romance, elegance, and magical touches. Their paper goods featured a custom Cinderella-esque crest that carried through to their reception place settings. Bride Emily took a fashion forward approach with her sleek gown paired with the timeless but trendy embroidered fingerless gloves. For her reception look, she changed into a bold and sleek high neck, low back gown.
Exceptional portraits were a priority for Emily and Miguel. We used the time between their afternoon ceremony and evening reception for a luxuriously relaxed portrait session around the Grand Floridian.
After the wedding, Emily and Miguel surprised me with the most thoughtful review. Here’s what they had to say: “Katie felt like a longtime friend instantly. We felt very comfortable spending literally the entire day with her, taking her direction, and trusting her artistic process! Katie’s presence and evident passion for her craft were definitely our favorite parts.”
“All of our images feel editorial, intimate, and genuine. They capture us and our loved ones perfectly. We gave Katie minimal inspiration and she perfectly gleaned what style we were going for. It’s difficult to pick a favorite. Katie captured the little ones, our portraits, and the candid shots so beautifully!”
“Katie has a warmth about her, is very detailed, and creates a gallery much more than photos—but rather an archive of moments and memories. “
I am forever grateful to be able to capture memories like these. And so, without further adeu, here is a look at one of my favorite celebrations of 2022 and another first week of November memory I will always treasure!
