Today I’m continuing a series of posts celebrating film photography in some of my favorite locations around the globe. Pack your favorite breezy maxi dress, prep striped skirts and oversized sunglasses because today we’re heading to the Palmetto state for a beautiful tour of Early Spring in Charleston.
Earlier this year, I spent the most beautiful weekend in Charleston to capture this stunning Lowndes Grove wedding editorial. Charleston has long been one of my favorite cities, every chance to return is truly a gift! I specifically chose my bed and breakfast for their sun soaked, charming southern porch. It was even more beautiful in person and I spent the most beautiful afternoon lounging here.
After living in Charleston for two years, I truly love coming back to so many of my favorites. From a golden hour bike ride among the pastel row homes to my absolute favorite gluten free Callie’s Hot Little Biscuits, I made the most of every minute. But the city still surprises me! I love walking around, discovering new coffee shops and picturesque homes around every corner. I spent one glorious morning exploring Hampton Park with its blooming camellias and swaying Spanish Moss. On another morning, I went to the six AM class at Charleston Power Yoga before spending an hour admiring the waves at my favorite beach. I truly could not have asked for a more restorative, beauty filled stay. Here are a few of my favorite Early Spring in Charleston moments.
I photographed all the images in this Early Spring in Charleston post on the Contax 645 system with Fuji400h in February 2024. A long weekend was simply not enough time, though, so I am already dreaming of my next trip!
