I’m excited to share a look at Maggie and Nico’s French Chateau Inspired Ryland Inn Wedding. They incorporated lush florals, garden aesthetics, and impeccable details into their late Spring celebration. Their design showcased Maggie’s artist’s heart and the couple’s shared love of European design. Maggie and Nico’s love was radiant throughout the day. Their kind heartedness, graciousness, and generosity were evident in every piece of their event and to every guest who attended. Under idyllic golden sunshine and a dreamy sunset, the couple shared intimate vows, laughed with lifelong friends, and danced the night away.
The Wedding Day
The Ryland Inn created a beautiful canvas for this French Chateau inspired wedding. This historic estate, dating all the way back to the 1700’s, has been lovingly restored and refurbished with sprawling gardens and meticulously landscaped grounds. The venue’s rustic yet refined architecture neatly balances old world charm with bright and modern touches.
Maggie and Nico drew inspiration from their love of France and French design. It was important to them to have a sense of intimacy and warmth in their day while still providing their guests with a luxurious experience. They beautifully used color, texture, abundant florals, and European inspired details to bring their vision to life.
After their intimate private vows, we began portraits amongst the trees and gardens. We chose locations with glowing light and ample greenery to incorporate the French Chateau feel.
Maggie’s bridal look featured an exquisite fitted gown with intricate lace and beading detail. For her June event, she chose a gown with slim straps and wore a dramatic full length train. Her beauty look was radiant with glowing skin and soft glam, and luscious old Hollywood waves. Nico, meanwhile, complimented her elegant look with a timeless classic tuxedo but with a fashion forward white jacket.
For their wedding party, the couple chose to continue the bride chose to have coordinating but not matching dresses in French inspired colors and patterns. Intentionally creating a palette for your bridesmaids is such an impactful way to incorporate your inspiration and theme into your wedding day!
The Ceremony & Reception
Maggie and Nico’s joyful ceremony was held in the Ryland Inn’s beautiful courtyard. Blushing Fields constructed an exquisite floral arch and lush aisle to lend a garden feel to the ceremony. She specially grew Claire de Lune dahlias, the enormous golden centered flowers, to incorporate beautiful honey tones into the color palette.
For the reception, Blushing Fields created organic low centerpieces to encourage conversation. Blue taper candles filled the room with a warm glow. The soaring ceilings and expansive windows gave the room an airy feeling while the iconic stone fireplace created a sense of intimacy.
Golden Hour Portraits
As cocktail hour drew to a close, we snuck away for a few luminous golden hour portraits. The romantic, lighthearted portraits we captured were some of our favorites of the day! As most portraits are done early in the afternoon, it’s always magical when we can sneak away for just a few minutes to capture the best light of the day.
