For Lexi & Patrick’s chic downtown engagement session in Richmond, bride Lexi had a vision. Silk dress, sleek columns, genuine candids, and pizza, I was ecstatic! On a warm December day, we met in downtown Richmond and the city felt transformed by their joy.
Lexi and Patrick wanted their engagement session to feel genuine, joyful, and energetic. Taking inspiration from the historic, grecian inspired columns of the capital building, Lexi’s white silk dress was perfectly suited for the setting. The structured bodice and flowing sleeves created elegance while her wide smile and exuberance brought life and joy to every frame. She complimented the dress with pearl drop earrings and pearl studded heels. Meanwhile, Patrick wore a classic black suit as a perfect contrast.
We wound our way around the Capital building, the brisk weather an inspiration as Lexi donned Patrick’s suit jacket. We paused at this evergreen courtyard to add a touch of garden greens to their film portraits.
Lexi and Patrick wanted to infuse their fun loving personalities into their chic downtown engagement session. And what better way than with a mid-session snack! We picked up their absolute favorite pepperoni pizza and I will forever be obsessed with the juxtaposition of this gorgeous, fashion-forward styling mixed with the candidness of sharing a favorite slice.
As the afternoon drew to a close, we ended their session at a quiet little restaurant among Richmond’s historic cobblestone streets. The couple toasted to a fantastic day and celebrated with a romantic dinner for two. I truly can not wait to celebrate their mountaintop Charlottesville wedding this Fall!
