Come stroll the streets of Paris with me in this Spring in Paris photo tour. I love seeing how this beautiful city changes with the season and always make time on my trips to explore, camera in hand. All these images were shot on my last trip to Paris in mid-April so just as the city was coming back to life from winter on beautiful Portra 400h film with my beloved Contax 645 medium format camera. I always take such joy from wandering, exploring streets familiar and never before seen with just myself and my camera. It’s a chance to connect to how I see beauty and find fresh inspiration and creativity and I hope through this photo tour you’re able to see a glimpse at how I see the world around us.
This trip took me primarily to my favorite district, the 7th arrondissement, although you’ll see bits of the 2nd and 4th as well. The 7th has always held a special place for me with its easy proximity to so many beloved marquee landmarks, its sheer abundance of cafes and shops (not to mention my favorite gluten free bakery, NoGlu!), the quaint residential streets, of the stunning Eiffel tower views that surprise you around so many corners (much like an image you’re about to see!). No matter where my time in Paris takes me, I always spend plenty of time around the Louvre, the Jardin des Tuileries, and strolling the 7th and I hope from this Paris in the Spring tour you’ll see why these areas call to my creative soul so deeply!
My next journey to Paris is in July and I’m looking forward to seeing what new beauties this ever evolving city has in store for me then! I’ll be traveling with my husband and 3 year old daughter; it’s our first international trip all three of us and I’m excited for the new ways we’ll experience Paris with a toddler travel buddy.
