Today I’m continuing a series of posts celebrating film photography in some of my favorite locations around the globe. Pack your favorite striped tees, Americana cardigans, and midi dresses because today we’re heading to the charming island of Nantucket for a tour of their famous rambling roses and perky hydrangeas.
Last summer we took a family getaway to beautiful Nantucket. Even though summers can be rainy, we were truly smitten with the island’s laid back leisure and rose scented breeze. From morning runs to Lemon Press for iced oat lattes to afternoons exploring the rose cottages of Sconset, the days were slow and filled with the loveliest time together. Here are a few of my favorite July in Nantucket moments.
We were quite literally taking notes of all the plants we loved to bring back to our own garden! In fact, this year we planted two Cecile Bruner roses as an homage to Sconset!
Couldn’t forget the island’s many fluffy shop pups!
I photographed all the images in this July in Nantucket post on the Contax 645 system with Kodak Portra400 and Fuji400h in July 2023. One week was simply not enough time, though, so I am already dreaming of my next trip!
Thank you for exploring July in Nantucket with me! If you are celebrating a wedding or engagement I would be thrilled to talk more about how we can beautifully capture your love story. Please click here or use the link below to inquire so we can start planning together.
