I have the first post in what simply has to be a series from most beautiful Chateau du Grand Luce Wedding to share with you today! This magnificent celebration spanned three fashion driven, inspiring days. Up first, we’re taking a look at the Marie Antoinette Welcome Party.
Design inspiration for this Marie Antoinette Welcome Party began with Chateau du Grand Luce’s iconic pink dining room. We took nods from the floral detailing, intricate moulding, and romantic warm pink tones. Designer Rachael Ellen took this space and created a Regency Era dream resplendent with layers, textures, bows, and lush florals.
For the bride’s look, she selected a soft pink Alexandra Pijut two piece set. With shimmering opal moire fabric, the look featured a structured corset with grosgrain ribbon piping and a ruffled bubble hem. HMUA Jen Lagers created a soft, glowing beauty look complete with face framing waves an an elegant chignon. Regency era details like the bride’s dramatic gloves and vintage pearl choker finished the look.
Reception Design
The intimate tabletop perfectly balanced the opulance and frivolity of the Regency Era. Abundant, draping florals in every shade of pink covered the table. Meanwhile, pink bows accentuated the embroidered linens. Immecable china from Gien, glassware from Baccarat, and flatware from Christolfe enhanced the luxuriousness of the table.
Stationary artist Mikyla of Ink & Press Co took inspiration from the Wedgewood molding to design intricate menu cards. Scrolled name cards added a personal, old world touch.
