Come with me today to the exquisite Chateau du Grand Luce. We’ll tour the magnificent grounds, sumptuously appointed rooms, and exquisite gathering spaces.
Nestled in the verdant Loire Valley south of Paris, the iconic Chateau dates back to the 1760’s. The neoclassical marvel has been meticulously restored and today is both a five star hotel and top in the world destination wedding venue.
The chateau boasts 19 rooms each uniquely appointed in luxurious fabrics, antiques, and details. On my stay I had the joy of staying in the Superior King Scenic Room, but was fortunate enough to be able to tour some of the other rooms.
The property is resplendent with manicured gardens and hidden treasures. Out in the pasture fields hides a sweet waterfall and natural stone bridge. Meanwhile, terraced gardens feature apple trees, fountains, and a plethora of roses. Dancing wisteria climbs the outdoor dining space while a discrete hedge maze beckons explorers.
Beyond the impeccably maintained gardens, the property is also home to Le Luce restaurant. Here Chef Thomas presents innovative, seasonal dishes in their intimate dining room and garden terrace.
The property also has a magazine worthy dipping pool, sunken gardens, and a sweet Orangery. The Orangery is a perfect afternoon gathering space set aside among the lemon trees.
Chateau du Grand Luce is a French Countryside haven. Whether you’re on a restorative retreat or celebrating the wedding of a lifetime, it’s an ideal place to gather, recharge, and spend long hours in the garden laughing and dreaming.
